Commitment to Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

Gender inclusive care
We provide inclusive gynecologic and obstetric care to patients of all genders. We recognize that creating an open and affirming environment for LGBTQIA+, non-binary and gender non-conforming individuals is foundational to high quality gynecologic and obstetric care for all of our patients and their families. We make ongoing efforts to improve care including: welcoming creative feedback from patients and staff, supportive and affirming signage in our clinics, spacious and accessible single occupancy restrooms, provider pronoun badges and regular provider meetings to broaden our perspectives on the gender spectrum and our awareness of the unconscious gendered expectations which impact care.

Recognizing diversity, equity and inclusion
We recognize the forces of structural racism that negatively impact our society. We commit to serving and elevating communities of color, those with disabilities, and individuals across a range of financial abilities. Our team is actively engaged in facility policy changes and education through participation in New York State programs, hospital-wide diversity leadership committees, and our own diversity, equity, and inclusion working group. We participate in the New York State Birth Equity Project and the First 1,000 days on Medicaid program.

Native land acknowledgment
We respectfully acknowledge that we practice medicine on the traditional land of the Haudenosaunee, Schaghticoke, and Mohican peoples of the past and present.
