Sierra Hunt, PT, DPT, NCS, is a board certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist who joined Albany Medical Center's outpatient physical therapy in 2017. After graduating from SUNY Geneseo with a BS in Biology and receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Hunter College, she pursued her interest in Neurologic Physical Therapy as a resident at NYU Langone Health.
At NYU, she worked in both inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation under the mentorship of neurologic clinical specialists. After completing her residency, she worked in the Vestibular Therapy Department at NYU RUSK Rehabilitation where she treated patients with a variety of vestibular impairments, including post-concussion syndrome. She is LSVT BIG certified, which is an evidence-based treatment approach for individuals with Parkinson’s disease.
She has a special interest treating patients with a variety of vestibular or neurological conditions including brain injury, stoke, Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis.
