Dr. Brocks is a pediatric surgeon in Albany Medical Center’s Department of Surgery and an assistant professor of Surgery at Albany Medical College.
Dr. Brocks sees patients from birth to age 18 for both elective and emergency surgeries, including inguinal hernia repair, appendectomy, and tumor removals; congenital anomalies such as biliary atresia or intestinal atresia; and neonatal emergencies such as necrotizing enterocolitis. Her special interests include complex abdominal pathology and neonatal surgery.
Dr. Brocks previously worked as assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Montreal. She has also held a staff surgeon appointment at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. She completed her fellowship in pediatric advanced hepatobiliary surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago and her fellowship in pediatric surgery at Hospital Sainte-Justine of the University of Montreal. Dr. Brocks completed her residency in general surgery at Maine Medical Center in Portland. She earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia.
She is a member of the American Pediatric Surgical Association, the American College of Surgeons, the Canadian Association of Pediatric Surgeons, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
