Dr. Herial is chief of the division of vascular neurology and director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center. He also is vice chair of the Department of Neurology, inpatient services, and serves as associate professor of neurology and neurosurgery. He is a board-certified vascular neurologist, and a neuro-endovascular surgeon specialized in the management of vascular diseases of the brain and spine. He is involved in both medical and neurointerventional management of stroke and other cerebrovascular conditions. He has extensive experience in clinical research and has authored over 150 scientific publications. He is involved in multiple clinical trials of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, mechanical thrombectomy and cerebral aneurysm treatments. He is an active member of several national and international professional societies and involved in global health academic and research collaborations.
