Dr. El-Hajjar is an interventional cardiologist specializing in transcatheter closure of patent foramen ovale, transcatheter repair of the mitral valve with the MitraClip and transcatheter closure of the left atrial appendage with the Watchman. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular diseases. Dr. El-Hajjar is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He is a principal investigator of multiple clinical trials.
