Dr. Choi is the director of the Albany Med Breast Center and specializes in breast surgery. She has advanced breast fellowship training and offers patients a comprehensive range of medical and surgical options to treat breast cancer and other breast diseases. She also sees patients who have an increased lifetime risk of breast cancer. In addition, she is a skilled general surgeon, adept at performing gall bladder surgery, appendectomies, and a host of other procedures. She also takes trauma/emergent general surgery call.

In 2021, Dr. Choi led the effort to secure accreditation from The National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) for the Breast Center in Albany and has worked to maintain this accreditation to uphold excellence in quality measures for patient care.

In 2023, she was awarded the Extra Mile Award by the breast cancer patient support organization To Life!, one of the group's highest and most prestigious honors to recognize an advocate of breast cancer care in the Capital Region. She also started a partnership with To Life! in December 2024 to offer Breast Center patients supportive counseling and fitting consultations.
