Kelley Banagan, MD

Dr. Banagan specializes in treating patients for a broad range of spine-related conditions that include degenerative disc disease, spinal deformity, spinal tumors, traumatic injury, scoliosis and spinal stenosis.

A native of the Albany area, she came to Albany Medical Center from the University of Maryland Medical Center, where she served as an assistant professor and the assistant residency director in the Department of Orthopedics. She was also actively involved in the Spine Fellowship Program at the nationally recognized R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

Dr. Banagan offers patients a variety of spine-related surgeries and treatments that include anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, microdiscectomy, lumbar laminectomy and thoracic procedures, as well as adolescent idiopathic scoliosis and spinal trauma treatments. She provides care to patients of all ages.

Dr. Banagan earned her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University and completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Her fellowship in orthopedic spine surgery was conducted at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
