Dr. Stoutenburg joined the C.R. Wood Cancer Center in 2005, becoming associate medical director in 2013 and medical director in 2015. He currently serves as the chair of the Cancer Committee and is an active member of the Medical Group Steering Committee and Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee. Dr. Stoutenburg is the Physician Champion for clinical research for genitourinary and gynecological cancers.
Dr. Stoutenburg received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from SUNY Binghamton, and went on to SUNY Upstate for Medical School. Dr. Stoutenburg completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, followed by a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Columbia University Medical Center in New York.
