John Pugh, MD, PhD

Dr. John Pugh, one of the region’s few pediatric neurologists, joined Albany Medical Center in 2012. He treats children for conditions including seizure disorders, movement disorders, concussions, paroxysmal events, developmental delays, and headaches.

Dr. Pugh participates in multiple educational activities throughout the Capital Region and is an active member of the Child Neurology Society, the American Academies of Neurology, the Capital District Pediatric Society and the Professional Advisory Board for the Epilepsy Foundation of Northeast New York. Dr. Pugh completed residencies in pediatrics and pediatric neurology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and received his medical degree and a doctorate in biomedical neurosciences from Boston University School of Medicine. He is an assistant professor and theme leader for medical neurosciences at Albany Medical College.
