Dr. Gorczynski practices total joint replacements and complex revisions, in addition to sports medicine and fracture care for children and adults.
Dr. Gorczynski grew up in Rochester. He majored in physiology at Cornell University in Ithaca. He completed his medical degree at SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse and was chosen to become a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at NYU/Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City, where he was selected as an executive chief resident and won the resident teacher of the year award. Dr. Gorczynski spent an additional year of optional training at the Hospital for Joint Diseases completing a fellowship in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine.
He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the Medical Society of the State of New York.
Dr. Gorczynski provides complete, comprehensive and state-of-the-art orthopedic care, including total joint replacements and complex revisions, sports medicine and fracture care for all ages. He believes that although there is a place for surgery, many patients can be treated non-operatively with casting or bracing, physical therapy and/or injections. His most common elective procedures include: knee arthroscopy, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, shoulder instability surgery, specializes in robotic-assisted total knee and hip replacements, total shoulder replacement, reverse total shoulder replacement and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. He has helped thousands of patients return to normal, fun-filled and active lives through operative and non-operative management of their orthopedic problems.
