Dr. Chelsea Tooke-Barr is a transplant to the Capital District. She is board certified in both anatomic and clinical pathology, with subspecialty training in transfusion medicine/blood banking. Prior to joining Albany Med in the fall of 2019, she practiced general pathology in the community practice setting.
Her areas of interest include pediatric and perinatal transfusion, transfusion management of the platelet refractory patient, massive transfusion in trauma, emerging transfusion-transmitted infections, and transfusion medicine education.
