Anne L. Barba, PhD, ABPP-CN, Clinical Neuropsychologist, specializes in cognitive evaluations of adult neurological cases. The evaluations are important for many reasons, including to determine if a patient is a candidate for surgery, or if they can live independently and manage their medications appropriately. Dr. Barba’s work embodies the unique team approach that Albany Medical Center’s Neurosciences Institute is known for. She works collaboratively with fellow neurologists and neurosurgeons to refine diagnoses, finalize treatment plans, and maximize patient safety. In addition to treating patients, she also participates in clinical and basic research with a focus on movement disorders.
Dr. Barba received her PhD in psychology and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Washington D.C. VA Medical Center and her post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Albany Medical Center. She is an associate professor and is also actively involved in teaching graduate students from the community who are interested in a career in neuropsychology.
