Vascular Surgeon Dr. Amanda Kistler Joins Albany Medical Center
Amanda Kistler, MD, has joined Albany Medical Center’s Division of Vascular Surgery and has been appointed assistant professor of surgery at Albany Medical College.
Dr. Kistler specializes in the treatment of complex vascular conditions including peripheral arterial disease, abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms, peripheral aneurysms, carotid artery disease, thrombosis, end stage renal disease, and venous insufficiency. She performs both open (traditional) and minimally invasive procedures.
Previously assistant professor of vascular surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Dr. Kistler completed her integrated vascular residency training at Albany Medical Center. She received her medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Ohio.
Dr. Kistler has authored and co-authored several articles in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Vascular Surgery, as well as two book chapters. She is a member of numerous professional organizations including the Society for Vascular Surgery, Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, and the New England Society for Vascular Surgery.
