Thoracic Surgeon Dr. Adam Mace Joins Albany Med Health System
Adam Mace, MD, has joined the Division of Thoracic Surgery.
As a thoracic surgeon, Dr. Mace treats lung, esophageal, and other cancers of the chest, as well as non-cancerous thoracic diseases and conditions, including hiatal hernias (also called stomach hernias), swallowing disorders, and acid reflux disease. He performs robotic and minimally invasive surgeries, as well as bronchoscopies and endoscopies, on the lungs, diaphragm, and esophagus.
Board certified in thoracic surgery, Dr. Mace was most recently a staff surgeon at Roper St. Francis Healthcare in Charleston, S.C. He completed fellowship and residency training at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland.
Dr. Mace is seeing adult patients at Albany Medical Center’s Surgeons Pavilion, 50 New Scotland Ave., Floor 3, in Albany. Beginning in early 2024, he will also see patients at Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga Springs. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 518-262-5864.
