Pulmonologist Dr. Galina Glazman-Kuczaj Joins Albany Medical Center
Galina Glazman-Kuczaj, MD has joined the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Albany Medical Center, a member of the Albany Med Health System.
Dr. Glazman-Kuczaj cares for patients with non-cancerous lung diseases and conditions, including interstitial lung disease (a wide group of disorders that cause inflammation and scarring in the lungs), asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pleural effusion (a build-up of fluid in the lungs). Among the procedures she performs are thoracentesis to remove fluid or air from around the lungs and bronchoscopy, and endoscopic technique used to see into the lungs.
Dr. Glazman-Kuczaj completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine and a residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, N.Y., where she also cared for patients hospitalized with Covid-19 at the height of the pandemic. She earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, N.Y.
