PrEP Awareness Week: Resources and Testing Locations in the Capital Region
PrEP is a highly effective medication that greatly reduces the chance of contracting HIV from sex or injection drug use. PrEP Awareness Week is held Oct. 24-31 to promote the importance of this medication and other services that can help prevent HIV.
Albany Medical Center is hosting free, rapid HIV testing throughout the week in the following locations:
- Albany Medical Center Specialized Care Center for Adolescents and Young Adults
(Ages 13-24)
Oct. 24-28, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
