Rheumatologist Joins Albany Medical Center

Michael Allen, MD, has joined the Division of Rheumatology at Albany Medical Center, a member of the Albany Med Health System.

Dr. Allen has a special interest in pulmonary manifestations of rheumatic diseases, including dermatomyositis, scleroderma, sarcoidosis, and rheumatoid arthritis-associated interstitial lung disease. He also cares for patients with general rheumatic conditions, including lupus, gout, and psoriatic arthritis.

A member of the medical advisory board of the Steffens Scleroderma Foundation and board certified in rheumatology and internal medicine, Dr. Allen most recently practiced at Arthritis Care P.C. in Clifton Park. He completed a fellowship in rheumatology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and a residency in internal medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, both in New York City. He earned his medical degree from the American Medical Program at Tel Aviv University in Israel.
