Inaugural PATH Awards to Recognize Providers Focused on Issues of Health Equity
Nominations are being accepted through Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022 for the inaugural Providers Aspire Towards Health Equity (PATH) Awards to recognize Capital Region providers who strive towards and are dedicated to health equity through their work.
The awards are presented the Albany Medical Center Office of Health Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion (OHEDI). The public is invited to nominate a provider in one of the following three categories:
Educational Advocacy Award
This award is dedicated to a provider who challenges their students to recognize the structural systems that impact patient health and who has embedded diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) throughout their curriculum.
Research Equity Award
This award is dedicated to a provider whose long-standing research (3+ years) is providing new knowledge and/or supporting work that has the potential to improve the quality of life among underrepresented groups in the nominee's field.
Albany Medical Center Community Engagement CARE Award
This award is dedicated to a provider who goes above and beyond in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts, which affects the Albany Medical Center community and extends to the Capital Region. The nominee's efforts have helped the broader community address the structural systems that impact health inequities. This individual also encompasses and demonstrates the values of Albany Med CARES (compassion, accountability, respect, engagement) through their work.
Nominations should be submitted online. For additional questions, please email the Office of Health Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (OHEDI).
