Dr. C. Lynn Cabral Awarded Prestigious New ELH Fellowship
C. Lynn Cabral, MD, assistant dean of Medical Education and associate professor of Pediatrics, has been selected as a fellow in a new program that is part of the prestigious Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) Program for Women.
Dr. Cabral was accepted into the Executive Leadership in Health Care (ELH) pilot program, designed for senior-level women leaders interested in advancing in hospitals and health care systems to positions such as chief executive officer, chief medical officer, chief nursing officer, and chief financial officer.
“Albany Medical College has been so helpful to me and provided guidance, support, and opportunity,” said Dr. Cabral. “I’m excited to connect with others nationally through this fellowship and bring new ideas and standards back to the group.”
Dr. Cabral joined Albany Med in 2018. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and her internship in pediatrics at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. She earned her medical degree at MCP Hahnemann (now Drexel University) School of Medicine in Philadelphia.
