Columbia Memorial Health Unveils Women’s Health Center

Columbia Memorial Health joined today with community leaders and supporters to unveil its state-of-the-art Women’s Health Center in the Medical Office Building on the Hudson Campus. The new center is a centralized hub for women that is specifically designed to provide the most advanced, integrated, and responsive gynecological care possible.

Columbia Memorial Health President and CEO Dorothy M. Urschel, DNP,  said, "The Women's Health Center is a vital addition to our community. It will provide comprehensive, specialized care for women, ensuring they have the support and resources they need close to home. The new space provides a calming healing environment. Our goal is to improve health outcomes, offer compassionate care, and be a trusted partner for women throughout their lives and health care journey."

James J. Armstrong, chair of the Columbia Memorial Health Foundation Board, said, "We are deeply grateful to each and every donor who made the Women's Health Center possible. Your generosity will have a lasting impact, providing women in our community with the care, support, and services they need for generations to come. This center is a testament to our community’s shared belief in the importance of women's health, and we cannot thank you enough for your dedication to making this dream a reality."

Women’s Health Center surgeon and chief of Gynecology Edward Marici, DO, said, “The opening of the Women's Health Center is a significant milestone for advancing women's health in our community. This facility will allow us to offer comprehensive services—from preventative screenings to advanced, minimally invasive surgical treatments—all under one roof. With cutting-edge technology and a patient-centered approach, we can ensure the best possible outcomes for women at every stage of their health journey.”

The Center was made possible by generous grants from Stewart’s Shops and the Dake Family Fund, Fenimore Asset Management, and donations to the Columbia Memorial Health Foundation.
