Albany Medical Center Welcomes Neurologist Dr. Gwen Warren Zeigler
Gwen Warren Zeigler, DO, has joined Albany Medical Center’s Department of Neurology and has been appointed associate professor at Albany Medical College.
She will treat adult patients with general neurological conditions at Albany Medical Center’s Neurology Clinic, 43 New Scotland Ave., Albany.
Dr. Zeigler previously worked at Utah Valley Clinic Neurological Center in Provo, Utah, where she was lead outpatient neurologist. She completed a fellowship in neurophysiology at New York University and completed an internship and a neurology residency at Albany Medical Center. She is a graduate of the AT Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Mo.
Board certified in neurology and neurophysiology, Dr. Zeigler is a member of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine and serves as one of the founding members of the Gender Equity Working Group within the American Academy of Neurology’s LGBTQ Section. An advocate for transgender patients, she has lectured on transgender issues in neurology at the American College of Osteopathic Neurologists and Psychiatrists’ mid-year meeting, and on neurological conditions in transgender patients at the American Academy of Neurology’s annual meeting, where she also moderated two workshops on leading people with varying degrees of outness, and LGBTQI inclusive care in neurology.
