Albany Medical Center Welcomes Gynecologist Dr. Aparajita Chaudhuri

Gynecologist Aparajita Chaudhuri, MD, has joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albany Medical Center and has been appointed assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albany Medical College.

Dr. Chaudhuri is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She will see patients for routine or annual gynecologic care, pregnancy care, menopausal care, and she will treat patients for conditions including polycystic ovary syndrome, fibroids, adenomyosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, and other infections. She will also treat patients who are HIV positive. Dr. Chaudhuri is certified in fetal monitoring by the Perinatal Quality Foundation. She also performs gynecologic surgeries, including minimally invasive procedures.

Dr. Chaudhuri comes to Albany Medical Center from New Jersey where she worked at Hackensack Meridian Health’s Palisades Medical Center. Dr. Chaudhuri completed her residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Queens, N.Y. She also completed a residency and earned her medical degree in India at NRS Medical College and Hospital and University of Calcutta, respectively. Dr. Chaudhuri speaks English, Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu.

During her residency, Dr. Chaudhuri earned the Emanuel A. Friedman, MD, Resident Research Award. During her career and training, she has given several oral presentations in India.
