Tomorrow’s Care for Our Community
As the only hospital located within Columbia and Greene counties, Columbia Memorial Health (CMH) has a deep, century-long commitment to the people of our region. CMH is the community’s connection to a vast network of care from our hospital in Hudson to 37 community locations and additional advanced specialties through the Albany Med Health System.
Our relationship with you, our neighbors and patients, has always driven our mission. It is why we have more care centers from Copake to Cairo than any other health care provider. It is why we expanded access as the first hospital affiliate of the Albany Med Health System. It is why we must ensure we continue to provide the care you need most with a model that is visionary, transformative, and rooted in the strengths of our System.
Now is the time to position CMH for the future. Health care is evolving. Join us in building the next chapter.
Care Focused on Our Community
The plan for the future of Columbia Memorial Health is founded on the needs of the people we serve. It focuses on enhancing the way we bring services to the 100,000 people in the Hudson Valley. Reinvention of the main hospital in Hudson and Greene Medical Arts in Catskill will allow us to increase access to same-day surgical care, respond to burgeoning needs in behavioral health, and expand our strong commitment to primary care.
Transforming Greene Medical Arts
Greene Medical Arts will be transformed into the first advanced outpatient surgery center of its kind in the Mid-Hudson Valley. The construction of new operating and procedure rooms with state-of-the-art technology will give patients a trusted and comfortable place to have more advanced procedures performed closer to home than ever before.
In addition to the new outpatient surgery offerings, Greene Medical Arts will feature a Cardiac Care Center for same-day evaluations. This center will offer patients enhanced access to the Albany Med Health System’s array of heart care services, including Albany Medical Center’s minimally invasive cardiac intervention program at a location that is easy to reach from all around our area. This investment in Greene Medical Arts is also an investment in Greene County—a place we have been proud to serve and call our own for decades.

Reimagining Columbia Memorial Health’s Main Campus
There is a critical need for behavioral health services in our area, and we will demonstrate true leadership for the families of our region centered on the Columbia Memorial Health main campus in Hudson.
We will expand our behavioral health offerings with space dedicated to safe, comprehensive inpatient care for all ages. We will remove barriers and provide treatments that help the whole person and reinforce CMH as an invaluable resource for families and clinicians. Retrofitting the main campus will also allow us to best respond to what the community has told us it needs from CMH. We also hold the only emergency department in the Twin County area. It is a lifeline for patients and a critical access point for advanced levels of care.
Modernizing Clinical Technology and Infrastructure
A crucial part of our plan involves modernizing clinical technology. Investments in new equipment for imaging, patient care, and operating rooms will aid Columbia Memorial Health in enhancing healing and recovery. CMH has always evolved with advances in health care to deliver the best possible patient experience. Upgrades to technology and infrastructure in Hudson and Catskill mean that we can better utilize spaces in two counties while investing in the quality care you need.

Leveraging the Strengths of Our System
Our partnership with the Albany Med Health System has extended numerous advanced services to Columbia and Greene counties with providers in multiple specialties seeing patients right in our hometowns. We have also created stronger connections to regional providers with more direct access to complex care. Our implementation of a single electronic medical record shared by Albany Medical Center, Glens Falls Hospital, and Saratoga Hospital seamlessly links patients to the full resources of our regional health care system. Two-thirds of residents rely on the Albany Med Health System for care. The strength of our system allows CMH to redouble our commitment to patients with excellence when and where it is needed most.
