| Handling Instructions for Offsite Areas: | Step 1) Perform Attentive Digital Rectal exam (3 strokes per lobe) Step 2) Collect first catch urine (20 to 30 mL) in urine cup Step 3) Invert sample 5 times to resuspend cells, then transfer 2.5 mL urine (min 2.0 mL must fill until the fluid level is between the black lines) into Progensa urine transport kit Step 4) Recap urine transport kit tightly and invert 5 times to mix Maintain transport tube refrigerated (min. 2.5 mL). Freeze if stored more than 5 days. |
