Cancer Services Program - Glens Falls Hospital
Cancer Services Program
The Cancer Services Program (CSP) of Warren, Washington, and Hamilton Counties is a New York State Cancer screening program.
We provide BREAST, CERVICAL and COLORECTAL cancer screenings and follow-up services at NO COST to people who:
- Live in New York State
- Do not have health insurance
- Have health insurance with a cost share that makes the cost of screening too high
- Meet the age requirements of the program
What Services Are Offered?
Breast Cancer Screening
- Ages 40 and older
- People under age 40 at high risk for breast cancer
Cervical Cancer Screening
- Ages 40 and older
Colon Cancer Screening
- Ages 45 and older
- Those under age 45 at increased or high risk for colorectal cancer
Follow-ups for Abnormal Tests
If a screening test finds something, the Cancer Services Program will cover the costs of diagnostic tests. These tests can tell if something is, or is not, cancer.
Help With Treatment
If breast, cervical or colon cancer is found, the Cancer Services Program helps those who meet the eligibility to enroll in the Medicaid Cancer Treatment Program (MCTP) which provides full Medicaid for the entire time a person is being treated for cancer.
Support Services
Patient Navigation
CSP staff can help find solutions to barriers that may prevent you from getting your cancer screenings.
Case Management
CSP case managers make sure follow-up appointments for more testing are scheduled, give reminder calls, educate patients on when their next screenings are and are available to navigate questions and concerns.
Connection to Other Cancer Service Organizations
Organizations throughout NYS provide support services to New Yorkers with cancer and their families. Call 1-866-442-2262 to find services, such as survivor support groups and genetic counseling.

The Cancer Services Program is funded by The State of New York
If you are insured, most health insurance providers cover breast, cervical and colon cancer screenings at no cost to patients. This includes Medicaid and plans in the New York State of Health. Check with your insurance plan to find out what cancer screening services are covered.
