Albany Medical Center Welcomes Pediatric Rheumatologist Dr. Cynthia Salvant
Pediatric rheumatologist Cynthia Salvant, MD, has joined the Department of Pediatrics at Albany Medical Center.
Dr. Salvant is board certified in Pediatric Rheumatology. She will care for children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis, lupus, dermatomyositis, uveitis, vasculitis, familial mediterranean fever, and other conditions.
Dr. Salvant comes to Albany Medical Center from Ryan Health Women & Children’s Center in New York City. She also previously worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, during which she was awarded the Lawrence T. Taft MD 2022 Excellence in Clinical Teaching award.
Dr. Salvant completed a pediatric rheumatology fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and a pediatric residency at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in Queens, N.Y. She earned her medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, N.Y.
Dr. Salvant will see patients in Albany Medical Center’s Pediatric Rheumatology Clinic at 22 New Scotland Ave., Floor 3, in Albany and once a month at the Pediatric Specialty Care Center in Kingston at 117 Mary’s Ave, Suite 202. To make an appointment, call 518-262-7337.
