Endocrine Surgeon Dr. Jessica Thiesmeyer Joins Albany Medical Center

Endocrine surgeon Jessica W. Thiesmeyer, MD has joined the Department of Surgery at Albany Medical Center, a member of the Albany Med Health System.

Dr. Thiesmeyer is an endocrine and general surgeon who diagnoses, treats, and manages patients with a wide range of surgical conditions, but specializes in the care of patients with disorders of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands, including thyroid cancer and adrenal cancer. She offers her patients minimally invasive operations in addition to open (traditional) surgery.

Board certified in general surgery, Dr. Thiesmeyer completed a fellowship in endocrine surgery at University of California, San Francisco. She completed an endocrine oncology research fellowship and a residency in general surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. She earned her medical degree from Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
