Dr. Grimes is a urogynecologist. She completed her undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University. After college she pursued a love of teaching, and taught math and science at Castlemont High School in Oakland, Calif. with Teach For America. Dr. Grimes earned her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College and finished her OB/GYN residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. She completed an accredited three-year fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology) at the University of California San Diego.
From 2012-2017, she was an assistant professor,, section director of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, and director of Research for Gynecologic Specialty Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. From 2017-2024 she was an associate professor at New York Medical College and the chief of Urogynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Westchester Medical Center.
She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Grimes is professor at Albany Medical College and vice chair of Faculty Development and Research.
