Upstate OB/GYN Associates Joins Albany Medical Center

Upstate OB/GYN Associates of Albany has joined Albany Medical Center.

Located at 1365 Washington Ave., Upstate OB/GYN Associates is now included among the Albany Med Health System’s network of women’s health services that offer comprehensive diagnostic and treatment options and a full range of obstetrical and gynecological services, from childbirth and annual exams to highly specialized procedures. Upstate OB/GYN Associates includes Richard Goyer Jr., MD, and Peter Namkoong, MD, along with nurse practitioners Annmarie Gaetani, Kari Perrine Roe, and Amy Santoro.

“We are very happy to be joining the Albany Med Health System. As part of the System, our patients now have direct access to highly specialized women’s health services including The Birth Place at Albany Medical Center,” Dr. Namkoong said.

“We are proud to have Dr. Goyer and Dr. Namkoong and their nurse practitioners join our team. They bring decades of experience in delivering care to patients across the Capital Region and will help our comprehensive women’s health services reach more patients,” said Rebecca Rogers, MD, chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

As part of Albany Medical Center, Upstate OB/GYN patients have a more direct line to maternity services, including those for high-risk pregnancies, and the region’s only Level IV (the highest) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Level IV (the highest) Regional Perinatal Care Center. All hospitals of the Albany Med Health System offer quality and highly specialized women’s health care services in many regional locations.
