Dr. Schalet is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specializes in reconstruction after cancer.

For patients who have mastectomies, he offers DIEP flap procedures, which use tissue from the abdomen to reconstruct the breast. In addition, he performs reconstruction after skin cancer surgery, and head and neck cancer reconstruction, including tongue, floor of mouth, and jawbone reconstructions utilizing advanced surgical planning techniques.

Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Schalet is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He also serves as the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery clerkship director for Albany Medical College students.
