Dr. Eden's practice focuses on state-of-the-art medical and surgical treatment of complex eye diseases, ranging from routine to complex cataract surgery to traditional and partial corneal transplantation and refractive surgery. He is also the department’s director of continuing medical education and serves as an investigator in several multi-center national clinical trials.

He completed a fellowship in corneal and refractive surgery at Albany Medical College and completed residency training in ophthalmology at Nassau University Medical Center. Dr. Eden earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College; he earned his undergraduate degree from Union College, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
