Dr. Sossner specializes in general obstetrics and gynecology with a unique patient following that includes adolescent and pediatric gynecology. She treats many adolescent patients with von Willebrand disease, a condition characterized by heavy menstrual periods. In addition, she is uniquely skilled in performing gynecological procedures, such as advanced laparoscopic surgery, endometrial ablations, and hysteroscopy.

Dr. Sossner is known for her compassionate and personal approach to care: "I treat my patients how I would want to be treated," she says. Contributing to her genuine personality is her ability to balance patient care with education. Dr. Sossner thrives in Albany Medical Center's academic environment where, as an assistant professor at Albany Medical College, she has the opportunity and privilege of teaching medical students and training residents.

Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, she completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Baystate Medical Center. She earned her medical degree from Tufts University.
